PEACE
How do you find peace? Is it an elusive emotion or feeling that is foreign to you? Can you find it even when your life circumstances are challenging, your relationships are failing, you feel unmotivated and unloved, and are fatigued?
I say you can. With very little energy and effort, peace within your heart can go a long way in changing your perspective about life and how you live it. If you travel through life with a poor outlook and attitude, what do you expect to receive in return? If you continually look at the pain of the past, how can you see hope in your future? Is the ability to attain peace and contentment within you or does it require spiritual connection?
“Each
one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must
be unaffected by outside circumstances.” - Mahatma Gandhi
“Gratitude
makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for
tomorrow.”
“Until
you make peace with who you are, you’ll never be content with what you
have.” – Doris Mortman
“Nothing
can bring you peace but yourself.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Other
people do not have to change for us to experience peace of mind.” – Gerald Jampolsky
“The
life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest
type of existence.” – Norman Vincent Peale
“To
be at one with God is to be at peace … peace is to be found only
within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace
lies not in the external world. It lies within one’s own soul.” - Ralph Waldo Trine
“No Jesus,
No peace; Know Jesus, Know peace.”———————————
This likely will appear to be polar opposite to what I have above, but this story really impacted me as I become more concerned about crime and violence against our elderly because I have an 85 year old aunt who is very active, but can be a target. This video clip shows a 72-year old man fighting back.
I pray everyone had a wonderful, safe, and fun 4th.

I have a lot of trouble with that. I can’t even relax.
