oh hon’…… i’m right with you on this…..this hasn’t happened to me yet, but my baby’s going off to college in chicago this next fall..and i’m already bawling my eyes out. it’s so hard. =/ and, remember how you lost your dear man? well, i lost mine too…..not in passing, but he flirted with other women online..he cheated…so my heart has just been shattered. i’m now where you were before. trying to built some kind of life for myself for when my daughter moves away, at the same time trying to heal and stay strong/be here for my daughter now. girl, i can only imagine how you must be feeling.
praying for you right now sister. ((hugs))

Is she going to school out East? Very exciting, but I know it must really feel like your heart is not only walking around outside your body, but also getting on a plane. I wouldn’t worry about the engagement.
for you. Ive no children yet but I am sure when the time comes I shall be feeling the same emotions as you do. Been awhile since ive seen you updated unless i missed out on alot of your blogs.
As a young woman who was engaged at 17 (what a mistake!) and who is now looking back two years later, thinking “WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH MY HEAD?!!” I can empathize with her. Fortunately, I didn’t get married, and if you have raised your daughter correctly, and I believe that you have, she will make the right choice. Keep praying, and don’t worry! God has your back 100%! The prayers of my father and family kept me from getting married, and I am eternally grateful!! I’ll be praying with you as well. This also might sound crazy, but have you asked God if this is what He wants? In my own wisdom it’s not, but maybe it is… Just keep trusting Him, and He will lead her down the right path.

P.S. Read Isaiah 54, particularly verse 13.
Oh my! I thought this was off. I’m so sorry.
