Prayer Request
I’ve written in to receive a scholarship for a 40-hour Family and Divorce Mediation Training. In my search for private mediation I’ve learned that the need for mediators are high. Christian mediators? I haven’t found one yet.
So, I started to do some research and found through Association for Conflict Resolution approved programs for becoming a certified mediator. When I researched the fees that mediators costs, it averages around $300/hour. With my conflict coaching practice, I believe that offering mediation would be a natural enhancement to the work I’m doing.
I have a sincere and deep passion for helping people resolve conflict within themselves and with other people. I pray for people to be free to live, laugh, and love. Life is precious.
I’ve sent in my one-page application request and praying for a response soon. A training is offered twice a year and mostly I’ve found it’s April and October. I found one in May.
I place my phone call tomorrow to follow up on my request. Please pray for a favorable response and a gift of the scholarship.

Hello! $300/hr? I need to look into this! I was doing cases representing employees, but I was under the impression that to be a mediator, you had to have formerly been a judge. I hope you get it though. Let me know…I may just check into that in my state. Peace and blessings.

I’ll definitely be praying for you to get the scholarship. Coincidentally, my other half and I are looking into retaining a mediator for his custody dispute. His baby’s momma is being extremely difficult and believes that she has more rights to their son than the father does. A mediator is certainly cheaper than a lawyer and would be less traumatic for the child. Good luck with that.
